Share Wireless Connection (internet) via Ethernet Cable in Ubuntu to Any Device

In this post I discussed how to share internet through ethernet from a laptop.

To share wireless internet connection via Ethernet cable in Ubuntu to any device follow the below steps:

  1. Click the Network Icon from top-left bar and click Edit Connections…
  2. Select the item from Ethernet group and click Edit.
  3. Select IPv4 Settings tab and change Method to Shared to other computers.

Now Save and close all.

You probably need to restart your target device.

I tested the upper method in a Laptop with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and the target device is a desktop with Windows 10.
